JOURNEY ON EARTH - THE BEGINNING

Appeared on earth, 2nd June, 1937, Acharyaji completed his education from the Patna University and went on to become a professor in Hindi. In 1968, Acharyaji was appointed as the Director of The Birla Public Welfare Trust, Jharkhand.

This single appointment charted the future course of his life which was to devote himself totally towards the cause of the development of mankind.

ACHARYAJI AS AN EDUCATIONIST

Unlike his contemporaries, Acharya Shri Sudarshanji Maharaj is a qualified educationist and holds a Masters Degree in Arts, Ph.D., Sahitya Ratna, Sahitya Visharad, Vidyavachaspati and many more. He is amongst a selected few from the world of spiritualism who have achieved such high levels of academic excellence.

He has represented India at several high level conferences and seminars held in several countries of the world. Some of his most successful tours are:

HIS PHILANTHROPIC CONTRIBUTIONS

Acharyaji feels deeply for the children of the society as he considers them to be the building blocks of the nation. In order to bring the downtrodden slum dwelling children into the mainstream society he founded a philanthropic mission called Hamen Bhi Padhao - a free for all education programme aimed to deliver education to the children of the slums. Books, clothes and food are provided free to all the children at these centers.

He has also been actively involved in the process of establishment of a number of educational institutions across the states of Bihar and Jharkhand. He successfully laid down the foundation stone of Patna Central School for boys in 1980 in the capital city of Bihar. Later, started an all girls school, Krishna Niketan Girls School.

HIS TEACHINGS

Acharyaji firmly believes in the power of the self and preaches it to his followers as well. According to him it is important for every individual to know the self first. If you know your self the world will follow you.

He says “Knowing self is the first step towards knowing Brahma.”

Acharyaji further believes in personal experiences and inventions rather than borrowed ones. He discourages borrowed experiences and borrowed communications.

He believes that self welfare should be the top priority of every individual. He questions “If you are not able to keep your own self fit and fine, socially and mentally and economically how can u even work for the welfare of others.”
